New Delhi, India : July 18, 2008 - IR Summary/Agencies – Shibu Soren, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Chief, who is being considered to be the single most important political player to help UPA at the time of crisis, is giving a different signal, he is meeting the leaders of the NDA and looks to be not yet decided, which way he is to go, when all his conditions are met by the UPA Govt.
Soran’s support is a must for UPA and it is expected that before he plays his cards, he wants to ensure that Congress would stand by their word, since he has earlier been duped by Congress twice. The important factor for Soran is how to shed his fear and to go for the final stroke.
Both the Congress and the BJP are desperately trying to woo the JMM chief, whose party has five MPs in the Parliament. His stand on the trust vote is still a closely-guarded secret.
The JMM leader Mr. Soran arrived in the Capital late Wednesday night from Kolkata, and went into hiding since then, keeping the Congress managers on tenterhooks throughout the day.
Meanwhile, MDMK chief Vaiko has urged Speaker Somnath Chatterjee to disqualify two rebel MPs L Ganeshan and Ramachandran, as per TOI sources.
