New Delhi, India: July11, 2008 - Is it a great gamble by the UPA, perhaps not? It is indeed a great decision by Congress party, a great step leaped forward jointly by Manmohan Singh, India’s PM and Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of the UPA.It’s a great national judgment, a great pronouncement that shook the Communists in India since it’s a clear path of India’s betterment and that irks the Left simply because it’s coming through America.

Irrespective of the outcome of the ‘No Confidence Motion’ in Parliament, which though looks to be impractical to come out victorious based on the number game, there is nothing to worry about; it shall miraculously turn the table in favor of the PM and Soniaji.

I had earlier predicted in many articles in this e paper that Manomohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi would not care for the Left and would definitely go for the deal at the last hour and that happened.

I had given my humble advice to PM and Sonia Gandhi not to care for the Left but to serve the country by going forward for the Indo-US Deal, which shall eventually make PM and Sonia to be written in golden words and they shall also come out triumphant in the next elections, even otherwise their contribution can’t go waste.

I have never appreciated Sonia Gandhi except that she is a great leader and while giving my predictions in 1999 to Australian Broadcasting Corporation, I said at that time “ Mrs. Sonia Gandhi cannot become the Prime Minister but will be leader of the masses and her children shall come up, which I stressed."

And now my appreciation for Sonia Gandhi has raised immensely and I am sure that India would simply be proud of having a great political leader of her caliber in the near future.

I have been very close to Mrs.Indira Gandhi, but Soniaji’s personality has many added qualities, and I salute to her and bless Rahul Gandhi to continue serving the country that needs his services gravely.

Mr. Manmohan Singh has not done anything wrong, what come May, he has a great zeal to serve the country and has an indomitable spirit in him which he exhibited by sacrificing the Left’s Alliance.

Mr. Manmohan Singh’s going to IAEA for a safeguards agreement covering its civilian
facilities is a great step outside the purview of the UN Nuclear Watchdog.

The Left has definitely taken a hasty step of withdrawing their support; they had a big complaint that they were not given the full text. It was not done, since it was not the ripe time. But at the same time, they supplied the main points and issues to all concerned; hence there could logically be no grave problem for the Left. Since they were opposed to America, hence their opposition was just for opposition sake and not based on any logical sequence.

The India-Specific Safeguards agreement finalized with the IAEA on July 7 was made public on Thursday, it was displayed even on the net which clearly recognizes the existence of “India Autonomous Nuclear Program, free of the safeguards coverage.” Moreover, it does not affect India's nuclear Weaponization Program.

Even under the Article 11 of the statute, the Agency (IAEA) shall implement safeguards in a manner designed to avoid hampering India's economic or technological development, and not to hinder or otherwise interfere with any activities involving the use by India of nuclear material, non-nuclear material, equipment, components, information or technology, produced, acquired or developed by India independent of the agreement for its own purpose.

Every intelligent person in India knows that the agreement is in the vital interest of the country and it is the testing time for all the political parties in the House including the BJP to see that the Vote of Confidence should not make the nation small, it shall be a test of patriotism, how much they are national minded?

It is in the interest of every Parliamentarian to support the Indo-US Deal and make PM succeed in Parliament rather than to damage the interest of the country which Mr. Manmohan Singh has brought to the nation with his great statesmanship; which should be appreciated and by doing so all will be giving the befitting salute to the nation.

This golden opportunity is rare and may not come to avail by all other MPs, don’t miss to support Manmohan Singh, since it is not Manmohan Singh or Sonia Gandhi, but it is national issue of Indo-US Deal and must be supported as a true Indian.

In short, Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi are victorious irrespective of the results of the upcoming  Vote Confidence, they are also likely to win the next elections, since the people of India know what they have done for the country?
