New Delhi, India, June 21, 2008 - IR Summary - BSP Authority Mayawati has given a strong jerk to Sonia Gandhi, President of the UPA to day by announcing her withdrawal of her support from the UPA Govt. on the ground of inflation among other reasons.
In addition to the ground of inflation, she has also accused the UPA govt. for meting out step-motherly treatment to her party and Uttar Pradesh government.
Mayawati has also written to President Pratibha Patil, Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and Congress president Sonia Gandhi informing about her party's withdrawal of support.
Mayawati cited inflation and UPA's failure to keep promises for welfare of 'sarvajan samaj' (all communities) as reason for withdrawal of support.
Mayawati said her party, which has 17 MPs, will decide on no-confidence vote on "merit" if such a motion is moved in Parliament as per PTI Input.
This is the right time of blackmailing Sonia and Mayawati wants to make use of it for any concession she desires. Since Mulayam is tilting toward Sonia, she may not care for her.
