Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, said, “ So far an all round friendship between US and China is concerned, I am afraid that the differences between the two countries are likely to be widened in the long run, particularly on the issue of currency, since the quantum of currency is around 2.4 Trillion US Dollars. It’s not so easy to restore normal relationship between the two."

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, said:  “There is no doubt in my mind that China and America are heading towards a big gap developing into their relationship for various reasons, including strong pressure on China to revaluate its currency.

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, further said, “ Diplomatically the leaders of both countries may restrain from using harsh language, the fact remains that the Chinese currency, the renminbi, is undervalued by 25 to 40 percent compared to US Dollar or any other standard currency of other countries.

It is an open secret that the gap is wider than at any time since July 2005. As per media report, the Chinese government, under pressure from the Bush administration, had then decided to the do away with the renminbi’s peg to the dollar and had allowed the currency to float in a narrow band against the dollar and other currencies.

"The renminbi is claimed by China to have appreciated by 21 percent, but since July 2008 it has remained static as on today, that is one dollar is equal to around 6.83 renminbi, or yuan. The statement of  Mr. Ma, who  spoke on Thursday is very important but it may have little impact on the American people or on the US Administration, even though the issue is serious.

“Judging from the international balance of payments and the currency market’s supply and demand, the value of the renminbi is getting to a reasonable and balanced level.” 

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist: “The US experts and other economists  may not agree with this view, Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, said. “America’s economy is not yet regained sufficient strength; the US is still engaged in various unnecessary expenditures on different hot and terrorist fronts  and it is not possible for US Administration to cope up the ever growing deficit. The amount to the tone of 2.4 Trillion US Dollars is a serious matter, in fact, a very serious matter in my view. It is an issue that may take years and years to come to normalcy, it may develop more and more, its gap is likely to get wider and wider till some miracle happens.”

“Other differences of opinion and foreign policies that developed between China and America includes a number of problems, apart from sharp exchange over China’s currency, US Arms sale to Taiwan, which China claims to be its torn out piece of country, Goggle issue, internet censorship, hacking attacks on American companies, President Obama’s program of meeting with Dalai Lama despite China’s insistence on Obama not to meet him, all these issue may add a difficult situation to come closer to each other. ” Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, said.

“President Obama, Dr. Raj Baldev said,  has already unfolded his mind that it is keeping at an artificially low level to give China an unfair advantage in selling its export. China can well interpret what US President meant?"

“Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist said: “So far my observation is concerned; China would try not to bow before the Pressure, particularly exerted by President Obama and would also not forget other deals like arms sale to Taiwan and Dalai Lama’s meeting with President Obama and Internet security and above all the currency reserve in US shall most certainly create a major problem for United States and China, their close up in future shall pose a big question for the world”

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, finally said: “This shall of course affect the export of China to some extent, since most of the US companies may divert to India, despite big price difference.

"In short, I can say that US shall most certainly get closer to India than China in a reasonable time now. In such circumstances, President Obama shall expand the relationship of his country with India in its surrounding area to enable it to defend its seas and oceans, on which China is keeping an eye to capture and expand. and it is absolutely necessary for US Administration even othrwise to keep the world balance in tact in terms of peace and not let China to expand its wings so wider in the Indian Ocean and its nearby vicnity."
