China says India has forgotten lessons of 1962 war: Global Times

MIL/, Nov 9, 2009

New Delhi, India: November 9, 2009 – IR Summary/ANI/God Believers  - China has blamed India for having allowed Tibetan Spiritual Leader Dalali Lama to visit Arunachal Pradesh despite their objection, but India has said that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India. A newspaper published in China used an objectionable language stating that it looks India has forgotten the lessons of 1962 war.

Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor, on Monday said that India does not keep watch on the travel of religious leaders; they are free to travel wherever the wish, India can’t ban their travel.

Tharoor also made an interesting statement that India has been very generous in granting visas to the Chinese, India has recently issued over 50,000 visas. What else cooperation China expects from India?

"As far as our basic policy is concerned, we would certainly be hesitant to offer employment to a foreigner for a job which could be done by an Indian in India," said Tharoor.

Earlier, addressing the mass at Arunachal's Tawang, Dalai Lama said Beijing's accusations that his visit was anti-China and damaging to India-China relations are "baseless"  as per ANI:.

"My visit to Tawang is non-political and aimed at promoting universal brotherhood and nothing else," the Nobel Peace laureate had said.

Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Lead Man of God Believers, World Peace & Earth Saving Mission, (WP&ESM) has assailed the language used by Golobal Times, to the effect that India has not forgotten the 1962 war.The Chinese authorities should refrain such papers to avoid such language which can affect the bilateral relations of India and China. Differences prevail among countries but it does not mean that media should use their dirty language in violation of diplomatic decency.
