Sonia & Manmohan shall be back in power if take risk of Nuke deal
MIL, Jun 25, 2008. Dr. Raj Baldev, NIA Chaiman
New Delhi, India: June 25, 2008 –The political fight between the UPA and the Left still continues. The Left party in India has taken a stubborn stand to hit the national interest and the other small political parties, have also joined forces with them. The fact remains, there is someone else who is dictating them and pressing them hard to stick to their Anti-American stand, and that is where they applied brake to India’s relationship with America, which shall consequently adversely affect the reputation that India enjoys in the world.
The fight, in fact, is between a Communist country, and the USA; the communists through Left Party in India do not want India to join the American Block at any cost, whereas Manmohan Singh, who is a great economist, knows that India would lose its credibility in the eyes of the entire world. Communists are expanding and they have already taken hold on Nepal and their expansionist strategy shall slow down if Indo-US Nuke Deal is signed.
Manmohan Singh knows that India’s prestige is much more important and valuable than even fall of the government. Certain leaders from the allied camp of the UPA do not seem to be worried about the integrity of the country; they want to save the govt. and so putting pressure on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi to save the govt. from falling ignoring the trustworthiness of the nation.
Though there is no breakthrough in the meeting, the Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahmed said: "We want the Left on board."
The comment came as Congress allies in the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) declared that they were not enthusiastic about an early parliamentary election, which they feel would slip from their hands if the govt. collapses on the issue of Nuke deal.
They further feel that the nuclear issue is not something that can fetch the party votes, as such the leaders from NCP, RJD, and others are ready to sacrifice the country’s interest, since they do not seem to possess far sightedness what India would lose if the deal is dropped.
Some leaders fear that BJP may come to power if the govt. falls, even if BJP comes in power, is it unconstitutional?
If Manmohan Singh sticks to his honor, and Sonia Gandhi leaves some of her personal interests at this stage, and take the risk of fall of their govt. and go for the Indo-US Nuclear deal, they shall be written in golden words, and as per political thinkers, they would come back with thumping majority despite high inflation, which is a temporary phase. Indian masses are not fools to lose Sonia and Manmohan, they shall be in a far better position, if they opt to take the risk.
Such a golden chance of serving the country at the highest national and international level may not come to Sonia's life again and so is the case with Manmohan Singh, the greatest honor knocks once in life, don't miss it for the sake of petty power.
