Jaipur Casualties exceed 63 in Serial Blasts, unofficial 85

Jaipur, India: May 14, 2008 – IR Summary - Tuesday toll in Serial Blasts have exceeded 63 casualties and are likely to rise with about 120 people undergoing treatment for injuries, as per Rajasthan's Principal Home Secretary V K Singh.However the unofficial figure is put to 85.
The injured are admitted in different hospitals including Sawai Mansingh Hospital and Santokba Durlabji Memorial Hospital and Research Centre.
Rajasthan's Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said that the toll may go up as compilation of the number of dead and injured was still not worked out. Terrorists triggered eight serial blasts in a span of 12 minutes last night in the crowded market areas of the city and near a Hanuman temple in the walled city leaving at least 63 dead and 200 injured.
The blasts rocked Tripolia Bazar, where large number of devotees turned up at a Hanuman temple, Johari Bazar, Manas Chowk, Badi Choupal and Choti Choupal-- all located within a two-km radius in the old city as per Agency report as PTI Input.
The alert has been issued in Delhi and other metro cities.
