Minimally invasive surgery can cure chronic sinus problems

Mumbai, January 30, 2010- Those suffering from chronic sinusitis (or rhinosinusitis) – persistent and recurrent inflammation in the nasal passages – know the agony involved. Now a study proposes the use of a minimally invasive surgical procedure to relive the symptoms.



Human trials of first H1N1 vaccine to be used on Indians start today

New Delhi: January 20, 2010 - Clinical trials of the first H1N1 vaccine to be used on Indians from mid-February will start on Wednesday. Three medical institutes in Delhi, Chandigarh and Pune will test the H1N1 vaccine made by French vaccine manufacturer Sanofi Pasteur in a three-week bridging study on 100 Indians.
